Hike in Torrelles de Llobregat, Catalonia

In the meantime, nice weather of May allowed us to travel nearby of Barcelona, in one small village called Torrelles de Llobregat. If you have a day-off and want something different, not touristic but calm, you can take an R-linea train from Barcelona to Molins de Rei, then change a bus (L 62) directly to the village (appr. 1 hour trip, cost: 10 Euro both ways). What can you find there?

- Great space for hike in small mountains and forests
- Caves de Can Riera (not easy access though)
- Museum of Catalunya en Miniatura (great for kids)
- Fresh cherries from the locals fields
- Calm and refreshing place to breath good air

Spotted: green space, bbq park, views, mountains, a few people around.

So it's not easy to reach caves there (Cuevas de Can Riera), it's more for professionals and there are no signs about how to reach them, but we heard it's unique and beautiful.

Anyway, enjoy various routes in the small mountains and green forests. You can walk up to Coll de Can Riera spot (easy access), then up through the forest to Puig Vicenç (1,2 km) to enjoy nice views.

There are also options shown to Penya del Moro (3,9 km), Cervello (3,5 km), Sta. Maria de Cervello (1,3 km). So far we could reach Puig Vicenç, which is a nice place to hike and make a semi-circle.

There is a good idea to visit this unique museum of Catalunya en Miniatura, especially if you are with kids or any fan of architecture and scenic places in Catalonia. There you can find a lot of famous buildings and places of interest in their small figures, all this in the park with cute trails and canals.
We will post some pictures from there later.
